Question: gas sensor/gauge

This the second time I've asked this question...
The gas gauge on the car goes all the way to full when I first start the car. Then it slowly goes down towards emty.

  Sounds like a defective sending unit in the tank. If it was broken or shorted, ti would go to all the way full until the instrument voltage regulator gets over worked and shuts down. This is what supplies the reduced voltage to the sending unit in the tank. You will have to remove the tank to really do a pinpoint test of it, or you could remove your cluster and test it from there.
