 Rookie

i have a 2007 cobalt that when i put gas into it the car doesnt want to start i put a new gas cap and air filter into the car to see if that helps but it didnt and it has a check engine light has been on (p0496 is the code number)and it says high emmision purge valve fault please if anyone knows can you tell me so i can fix it

  Call the chevrolet dealer parts dept and ask them for a price on a purge valve for your car as the one on your vehicle must be bad
