1994 Ford F-150 Question: gas pressure builds up in front tank while using the rear tank

 Rookie

the fuel pump in the front tank doesn't work so i use the rear tank but if i remove the front gas cap gas shoots out.

    Fuel tanks are vented and if the vent is plugged, you could have air pressure building up inside the tank causing this, but it's unlikely fuel pressure is causing this.
