2001 Ford Explorer Q&A
2001 Ford Explorer Question: gas guage
I've heard the float in the tank for the fuel level sender (sensor) cracks and fills with gas causing the problem you describe. It may have enough air still to float to the top after sitting but sinks after you start driving. Some DIY-er's repair the float and some replace the fuel pump assembly (includes level sensor/float)... either way it requires dropping the gas tank. hope this helps - Andy Y
...ges on the dash twice & dropped the tank & replaced the sending unit twice as well as the pump-gas guage still doesen't work-no way to tell how much gas I've got-any clues?
fuel pump is kicking on but no gas in coming throw the line to the filter
I need both oxygen sensors replaced. What is the approximate cost to have this done?
