2000 Jeep Cherokee Q&A

2000 Jeep Cherokee Question: Gas Gauge

I noticed the other day that my gas gauge wasn't moving..it was at half a tank...so i filled it up to see if that would make a difference...it did...now the tank wont read past a full tank ( i drive about 30 miles to and from work so I know it should be moving) it is not going down.... what could be the issue and how much could it be to replace it.. -
Answer 1
You need to have an inspection of your fuel gauge and sendng unit to determine which component needs to be addressed. I usually use a scan tool to check the what the fuel sending unit is telling the computer in the tank and compare that to the gauge reading. -
