1994 Plymouth Voyager Question: gas gage stopped working what might be the cause?

gas gage just stopped working fuel light cam on know theres a half tank what could be causing this?

    Sounds like sensor/sending unit inside the tank went bad since both your gauge failed and the low fuel light comes on now. You would have to drop the fuel tank and replace that fuel pump/sender assembly to fix the problem most likely. Or keep track of your mileage from now on. Good luck.
