2001 Ford Focus Question: gas dripping fom tailpipe

the only thing i have not replaced is the fuel regulater and the main computer system

    If gas is dripping out of the exhaust it will kill the cat converter. Make sure no injector is shorted electrically and staying open. A scan tool would be nice to see what the on time of the injectors are (see if it is too long). Regulator could be a problem, coolant temperature sensor giving a cold reading could cause excess fuel issues. Do you have a Check Engine Light on? Has anyone looked at fuel trim figures on a scan tool. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
