2005 Toyota Land Cruiser Question: fuse for side lights keeps blowing

 Rookie

when the side lights are switched on (front spot lights are wired into same circuit)after 10 min approx the 10 amp fuse will blow,any ideas why?

    Yes, the fuse is overheating and melting, protecting the electrical system. Probably the fuse and circuit is not rated for the load of the spotlights. I don't know what the draw if the spotlights is, but I think you'd be well off to use a relay controlled, fused auxiliary circuit. Don't put a fuse in that has a higher rating than was originally installed or you'll melt your wiring.
