Toyota Corolla Fuel/temperature gauges may fail or read maximum at all times

Some of the fuel/temperature gauges fail and read maximum at all times. Our technicians tell us that there is a gauge cluster replacement that includes the little voltage regulator as well.

Fuel & Temp Gauge both slide to MAX when ignition turned on. Problem began simultaneously on both gauges. Fuel will drop of max as tank nears empty. -
Temperature gauge shoots all the way up after ignition. Old timer mechanic can't fix it too. -
