Answer #1
I could be of much more help if you can tell me what your Focus is doing. What trouble codes do you have.
Customer Concern: The engine is hard to start with long crank times after the vehicle sits for at least 3 hours. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) self-test resulted in Keep Alive Memory (KAM) code P1233.
Tests/Procedures: 1. Access the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) located under the passenger side of the rear seat.
2. The Green/Orange (GN/OG) wire at FPDM pin 9 should show battery voltage, whenever the ignition key is on, from the fuel pump relay and inertia switch.
3. The Black (BK) wire at FPDM pin 2 is a dedicated ground for the FPDM.
4. The GN/OG wire at FPDM pin 10 is power out of the FPDM feeding the fuel pump. This circuit should show battery voltage whenever the key is in the run position.
5. The BK wire at FPDM pin 3 is the fuel pump ground circuit. This circuit is duty cycled with a ground signal from the FPDM based on the command from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Back probing this circuit with a jumper wire and grounding it should result in 70+ PSI of fuel pressure if there is power to the fuel pump and the pump is good.
6. The Black/White (BK/WT) wire at FPDM pin 1 is the command signal sent from the PCM to the FPDM. The voltage on this circuit is generally a 1-5 volt reading, the higher the voltage reading, the higher pressure is being commanded.
7. The Green/Black (GN/BK) wire at FPDM pin 7 is a feedback signal sent from the FPDM back to the PCM.
8. If jumping the two BK wires of the FPDM connection together with the key in the Run position does not result in high fuel pump output, replace the fuel pump.
9. If the fuel pump produces high output with the two BK wires jumped together and pressure maintains when the pump stops running from removal of the jumper wire, or turning the ignition switch off, replace the FPDM
Potential Causes: Defective Circuit
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) — Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) or wiring problem.
Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) Wiring — Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) or wiring problem.
Tech Tips: Code P1233 suggests that the FPDM had at some point stopped communicating with the PCM when the ignition switch was in the Run position through the Fuel Pump Monitor (FPM) circuit (GN/BK wire). The FPDM should constantly communicate something on this circuit.

Thank you for your response, this information is very help full. My borther in law did 3 360es and hit snow bank and we could not get the car started after that, I read the information you gave me and it helped a bunch. Thank You once again for the information.
