Look in the trunk near the back seat. unfold the carpet. you will see a access panel for fuel pump. You do not have to remove the gas tank on a 1998 arcura. Unhook the neg, side of the battery post. Unplug elect,to gas tank. The gas lines must be removed next they have a line lock that you depress to remove. Then unscrew the phillps head screws anound fule pump plate, and remove it. Good luck.

replaced the fuel pump and the car will not start what should i do notify me @ cblack32twanda@yahoo.com
I REPLACED THE REAR O2 SENSOR AND THE FLUE FILTER AND NOW THE CAR WONT START I HAVE CHECK ALL THE FUSES AND EVEN UNPLUGED THE 02 SENSOR AND IT STILL WILL NOT CRANK.
When it doesn't start it still turns over. When I get it running and take it to a mechanic they can't duplicate the problem. I feel like it could be the fuel pump but I don't think it's clogged up....
Need full procedure including how to remove rear seat.
