fuel problems on 1990 Dodge Spirit

(its really a dodge dynasty but i dont see it available on here) car will turn over but wont start...it acts as though it wants to start but i dont think its getting any gas, one guy said it may be the fuel filter and another said fuel pump...is it possible to check if its the fuel pump before replacing it? help me please

you need fuel pressure, spark and compression. you have an issue with one or more of these. take it to a shop to see what has failed. Roy

only thing is, it wont start so i cant move it...dont wanna pay hundreds of dollars to tow and labor at a shop... **i got it thank you so much for your help...i got instructions to disassemble the fuel line from the fuel pump and then turn the key on but dont turn vehicle on and if gas come out of line, its not the pump...
