fuel pressure regulator on 2003 Chevrolet Impala

car will start and then die....start the second time and then the car stays running...this happens daily

Could be a couple things. 2 that come to mind are a faulty coolant temp sensor and a faulty fuel pump. Would have to diag the vehicle but there is a start.

The check engine light is on with a code of bank 1 lean also the car died and would not start until I pounded on the tank. The fuel pressure is 20 psi.
