I am trying locate the valve for checking fuel pressure and locate the fuel filter. From what I am re-searching online the fuel filter is in the gas tank. But it looks like on the Outlander if I remove back seat there is an axcess panel on the floor board for the top side of the gas tank for the fuel pump.

Fuel filter is in the tank and is not "meant" to be changed, foolish in my opinion. To measure fuel pressure you will have to "TEE" into the fuel line or tap into the fuel rail using a banjo fitting. 324 kilo pascals is the fuel pressure spec at idle.

Thanks, feel like i am back at square one. Problem is when fueling up the car will not start, it turns over but you must wait a few munites before it starts. Could this be a faulty gas cap not allowing the system to pressure up? Would it be worth pulling fuel pump? I did pull rear seat and have axcess to top of gas tank. I do see the fuel pump but there also some other unit going into the tank with a wire harness any idea what this is? Thanks for youe help
