Erratic Fuel Gauge Operation on GMC Canyon

The fuel level sensor in the fuel tank may fail causing erratic fuel gauge operation. Our technicians tell us that on high mileage vehicles you may wish to replace the complete fuel pump module assembly if this condition occurs.

Same problem but only 36000 miles.
2011 GMC Canyon30,000
My fuel gage in my 2011 gmc canyon off road with the 5. VA motor is experiencing the same issues with erratic readings I can completely fill up I keep my tank full (always chevron supreme fuel ) when tank is full gas gage reads 3/4 full then goes to the bottom of full then drops again it never pegs on or above full I think gmc should issue a recall for this because it seems a common problem in all mid size gmc trucks.
