The fuel pump is located in the trunk floor close to the seat on the right side. Pull the flooring back, unplug wires and fuel lines. There is a retainer ring which has to be pushed down while rotating. Once ring is removed, the pump lifts out of tank. Be carefull not to touch the metal strip which operates the gauge on the dash or you may throw the gauge off. Replacement is done by reversing the procedure.

You don't have to disconnect the battery first to prevent sparking? And definitely don't smoke while doing this.

The gas gauge is going crazy - it will illuminate only half of the unit, and can jump to full after driving for many miles, and then back? What is going on and what will it cost to fix?? Thanks
