Is a 'Fuel Injection Cleaning', which includes cleaning Throttle Plate & 3 part chemical kit worth doing? $130 - $71 for labor and $59 for parts. We were told it was important because it was dirty.

Better off paying a technician to change the spark plugs and check your throttle body than to have a drive thru oil changer pump chemicals through the fuel injection system

Buy a can of spray carburator cleaner, loosen the clamp around the air snorkle at the throttle body and with the engine NOT running, go to town spraying the interior throttle bore and with a rag and toothbrush, clean the throttle plate. After it's nice & clean, use the screw driver you used to loosen the snorkle clamp with, open the throttle and stick the screwdriver into the throttle bore so the plate stays opened and allows the residule carb. cleaner to evaporate. About 5 minutes or so. Then reattach the snorkle and be on your way. Add nothing to the fuel.
