My 2001hightop conversion van fuel guage goes crazy when I reach a half a tank

    sounds like your fuel level sensor, has a dirty or bad contact strip around the half way mark. You maybe able to clean it, but you will need to do olhm readings to verify the repair. It maybe easier to just replace it since the tank needs to be removed either way.
