Fuel Gauge Problems on 1998 Dodge Ram 1500

I was wondering how to turn off the fuel gauge "low fuel" light/beep? I am having trouble with the fuel gauge dropping and going back to normal and then dropping again for no apparent reason.

You probably have a failing fuel gauge sending unit in the tank. This is not uncommon. It's part of the fuel pump module which houses the pump and gauge sender. If you replace it, you'll either have to drop the tank or lift up the bed ot get to the top of the fuel tank where the unit is. I recommend raising the bed to get access. Here's a directory link for you if you don't want to fix it yourself: http://repairpal.com/directory?address=40213&car_brand_names=Dodge
