Volt meter, tachometer and fuel and oil pressure gauge all work of the same fuse so if any of them work the fuse is OK. Most likely a bad fuel tank sender unit.

in most cases, the sender is bad in the tank. take it to a shop and let them do a sweep test to determine whether the dah unit or tank unit is bad. Roy

replaced fuel pump.now fuel gauge not working ,tried plugging and unplugging.when unplugged gage reads full with key on.reads empty plugged in key on.
sputters, backfires, doesn't die but won't accelerate. replaced fuel filter and put non ethanol gas in. no improvement
