Question: fuel filter

 Rookie

My truck been running real bad lately.It sounds like its running out of gas.I was going to change the FUEL FILTER to see if that works,but It has a conection that I have never seen before.The hose is mad of stainless braid.The end that connect to the fuel filter look like ya need to use a crimper or something.My question is----What tool,or what way to take it off?

  I would check inside the fuel tank, today's gas has ethanol which in the 93 truck rubber parts in the tank was not immune to so check for poor connections and gummy rubber parts inside the tank.
