The wheel bearing is a cartridge style wheel bearing, the hub is removed from the car and a machine shop will have to drive out the old bearing and press in the new bearing assemble replace the cir clip and press the brake hub back into the suspension prior o reassembly on the car. Its a good idea to check the wheel alignment afterward.

THE MOST DIFFICULT PART IS REMOVING THE OLD INNER RACE THAT ALWAYS FUSES ITSELF TO THE HUB SPINDLE. THERE ARE EASY TRICKS TO REMOVE IT WITH OUT DAMAGE TO THE HUB NECK....CAN YOU BOIL WATER? BECAUSE IF YOU CAN'T COOK YOU CAN'T DO THE JOB .....PAY ALL OF THE 300 BUCKS PER WHEEL TO YOUR NEAREST VW GARAGE AND WEEP!!!!!!!!!!!
