Great. I haven't had the driveshaft out of this truck, so I don't have any specifics about removing the shaft, but make sure you mark every part of the shaft and joints before you take it out, and re-install it exactly the same way.

OK , I just did my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 with 5.9 cummins. There is no specific trick to getting the axel out, I just kinda twisted as I pulled hard, Expect differetial fluid loss thru the axel tube after pulling axel, I plugged hole with a rag to help, Try to keep axel as level as possible in relation to the axel tube so as you dont cut the axel seal, when re-installing keep as level as possible as well you do not want to damage the axel seal or you will have to take apart diff cover and its a pain, I tried to press my U-Joints out it did not work, I wound up driving them out with a small diamiter socket on top and a larger diamiter socket on the bottom for a reciver, Dont ask me why the press did not work all I know is the sockets worked better, I sprayed evereything heavy with PB Blaster the day before, If your going to go this far than you mite as well do your wheel bearings at the same time I did an d they were shot!, also in ur case it may be wise to do ball joints as well while its all apart, Makes no sence to have to take it all apart again in 8 months,
Hope this helps.
