1995 Cadillac DeVille Question: front sway bar replacement

sway bar is broken in half. can it just be welded together or do i have to replace? if i have to replace what all does it involve to get it out.

    No it can't be welded together, it is heat treated and welding it wouldn't work it must "twist" on cornering to counter act weight transfer from one side to the other on turns.
    The front sway bar takes nearly 1.8 to 2 hours to replace, the end links and center supports need to be removed to extract the sway bar.
