Right strut complete failure. Started with noticable grease on wheel and latter by knocking sound. When I replaced the struts, the right failed strut had zero internal pressure and a freely moving piston. Suggest replacing struts on all 2007 + Nissan Altimas with KYBs ASAP.

I noticed a popping/knocking sound from the driver's front end whenever I drover over bumps, dips, or made turns, usually at low speeds. Repair shop said it was the strut bearing plate and I would have to replace struts on both sides. Approx $450.
