Possibly, if the air is leaking from the top of the strut it can be repaired. I just had a repair to both front struts on a 2001 S430.
How much did that cost?
hello theres a place in roxboro NC called strutmasters they replaced my airmatic struts with passive coil over struts...the webstie is strutmasters.com 1-866-597-2733 and they give a lifetime warranty on the coil struts. the ride is still smooth but i do feel the bumps and i guess thats due to the 20 inch rims and low profile tires i have on my S 430...they do good work i took my benz there n they had me right in a day the cost is reasonable payed under 1100.00 hope this is helpful...and please dont leave me any negative comments this is just info im sharing if it doesnt work for you then so be it...
please email answer to firstname.lastname@example.org question were they able to turn off the check sensor light when you had this done
I have a 2001 S430 with Airmatic issues. I'm considering having all the struts replaced with Sturtmasters coil over struts. I'm very interested in the computer updates. Any pros or cons???
Yes the front airmatic struts are rebuildable, you can contact arnott and they will sell you each one for 399.00 + 100.00 core cahrge. Why do you want to know where the crank sensor is? It is located on the rear of the engine buy the firewall towards the center.
