    Hi,
You'll need a spring compressor and a large torx socket to hold the strut shaft while loosening the securing nut. If you don't have these you cannot even start this job, do you have these?

Yes, I have these tools. I was wondering if there are detailed instructions that I can follow since this is the first time I have done this.

I could give you instructions but pictures are worth much more. Just be careful that the springs are compressed securely before removing the top nut, and it's mandatory that you replace the upper strut plates at the same time (unless you want to do the job again). Be sure to have it aligned after as well.
