when replacing the front hub assembly do I have to remove the front stryt

    You generally don't have to, but if you plan on doing this job, get the repair instructions first. go here: www.alldatadiy.com or try autozone they might have a free one

    The front wheel bearing hub bolts are only accessible from the back of the steering knuckle. BMW want the disc, ABS sensor, stabilizer link, tie rod end and lower knuckle all removed to do the wheel bearing/hub assembly. You don't have to remove the upper part of the suspension or suspension mount.

    IN THE PROCESS OF DOING MINE. A SIMPLE JOB ON MOST CARS IS COMPLICATED ON THIS CAR DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT BE ABLE TO GET TO ALL 4 BOLTS WITHOUT REMOVING ALL THE PARTS THAT AUTOTECHPAT STATED IN HIS ANSWER.
