This is from the Subaru dealer: REPLACED STRUT AND MAYBE HUB ASSEMBLY AT THE SAME TIME DUE TO THE WHEEL BEARING HAVING EXCESSIVE PLAY I WOULD NOT WANT TO INSTALLE THE NEW WHEEL BEARING IN HUB ASSEMBLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT IS BENT WHICH WOULD THE NREQUIRE A SECOND NEW WHEEL BEARING F The dealer wants $1388 for the replacement. Is is price reasonable?

Has the vehicle been in an accident or started wearing tires. Wide tires tend to put extra pressure on a wheel bearing unless the bearing /suspension is designed properly. A wheel bearing that has excess play or been worn a long time may wear the hub (what carries the wheel). I think I would get a second opinion price sounds high unless there is suspicion something is bent. I presume you are being quoted for both front struts being replaced and a wheel alignment.
