How do I remove front hub?
by Visitor in Auburn, WA on April 25, 2010
It is pretty simple if you have the tools and have done this type of repair before if not best left to a professional. Jack up and properly support the vehicle, remove the front axle nut, remove the wheel, brake caliper and caliper mount bracket, remove the lower ball joint to steering knuckle, remove the steering tie rod end and the two bolts securing the steering knuckle to the suspension. The hub needs to be pressed out of the steering knuckle and wheel bearing., There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You can get a one week subscription or year subscription very cheap. The information is year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual try http://www.eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp?VID=125669 and get an online repair manual subscription.
