The shaking in the front end area is intermittent. When I go over a bump it will shake enough that you feel it. It doesn't matter what speed I'm going, fast, slow or inbetween and at other times also but can't really pinpoint when. I read that there might be problems with this vehicle concerning this issue. I just bought it and I want to bring it back there for them to look at, but I don't want them to take advantage of me because I'm a woman and assume I have no idea what I'm talking about and tell me there's nothing wrong. I'm not totally ignorant when it comes to cars. I've changed my own brakes once, replaced a heater core (out of desperation because no one else could fit under my dashboard)and gave another car a tuneup. I have general knowledge of how things work but I'm not going to pretend I'm some grease monkey either. My dad owned a gasstation when he was young and taught me a few things. But I have the ability to learn.

I have an '08 Dodge Avenger RT and had the same problem. I took it to Firestone to get it checked out and found that the Plastic Screw that keeps the bumper and side panel together had snapped off. We thought it was the tie rod/strut as well but, it was not. Thankfully the Firestone tech who replaced my brakes took a look at it and fixed it at no charge. Good Luck!
