Failure of the front control arm bracket bushings—often referred to as thrust rod bushings—is moderately common. One symptom is a clunk or jolt felt in the steering when braking.

I noticed problems while coming to a stop the cars steering wheel shakes and you hear a thud. I jacked the car up to check the rim because I thought it might be a bend or something but I could move the whole wheel from side to side. I replaced my bushings and the lower control arm and it was fine.
