i recently had my front brakes and rotors replaced. the mechanic "forgot" to reinstall the hub centering rings on my car. this error wasnt found until about two months later. long story short the rotor on the driver side of the car has both side to side movement and front to back movement. the passenger side is solid. what might the problem be and how can i fix it? the mechanic says im past the warrenty period for the repair so any problems i have to pay for.

I would call the BAR and report this mechanic. The Bureau of Automotive Repair will go out to this shop and deal with him. If he did not do the repair correctly and it ruined your hub then it is HIS FAULT. I live in the Bay Area and you have rights!!

    Best of Luck!

the hub centering rings are for your rims so the weight is not on the lugs. The lug nuts had to be loose to cause that issue.
