2011 Toyota Corolla Question: Front brake pads
I just changed front brake pads with OEM. After being installed I was surprised coz the color of the brake pads is GREEN. Is it true OEM brake pads corolla 2011 is green color? I worry if they gave me aftermarket brake pads instead. So I called the TOYOTA dealer, and they told me that there are 2 types OEM brake pads, Japanese & American. Is that true? Are they the same? How long brakes should last before replacing the pads? I bought the car in April 2009 as a used car with about 8000 miles on it. But the front brakes need to be replace
At 125,000-150,000 miles, the Brake Master Cylinder may need replacing. It is critical to adjust the brake pedal to Master Cylinder pushrod clearance or the brakes can drag and over heat.
Front brake rotors can wear causing a pulsation felt in the brake pedal. Our technicians tell us this condition is best corrected by replacement of the front rotors and brake pads.
