when starting truck engine light came on steady. dissconnected battery for 5 minutes. reconnected and light went out but now can not get any airflow out of center ducts. a/c works fine in rear. a/c does work in defrost and floor mode. so no heat or a/c out of front center ducts. checked a/c fuses seem fine. pulled out climate control head and pulled out wiring harnesses every looked fine. reinstalled and no change. help me please.

Why did you clear the check engine light without getting what ever code was stored? A common problem with these symptoms is a vacuum leak. The doors in the vent system need vacuum to operate. And the engine light may be because of a loss of vacuum.

that maybe true but ive also heard that sometimes manufacture has ses lights come on at certain milage so you come in and pay out your nose for diagnosis. i took hvac control out to get numbers off it. tapped on the back of it a few times reinstalled it. now it works fine. so far no ses light back on. i guess ill just wait and see if problem returns,
