1998 Chevrolet Prizm Question: Fron Disc Brake pin replacement

 Rookie

I RECENTLY PUT FRONT BRAKE PADS ON MY PRIZM AND NOTICED ONE OF THE DISC BRAKE PINS DID NOT MOVE IN AND OUT. HOW DO I REMOVE THE FROZEN PIN?

    If you cannot remove the pin from the caliper, then you will need to replace the caliper.

    It's not the caliper you will need to replace, but the mounting bracket that holds it, as that is where the pins are located. Remove the caliper, then the bracket by removing the 2 bolts holding it to the backplate. I had the same problem and replaced mine with one from the salvage yard. If you by a new or rebuilt bracket, you'll likely also have to buy the pins separately.
