Question

I just had the enigne rebuilt. Compression is great. My question is prob related to timing.. I have hardly any positive response after 1/4 throttle... I messed with timing and advanced it.. as I advance it it runs better and Im up to about 60% out of 100% normal. Why is this.. I started with lining up timing marks E3 and keyway at 12oclock.. was this correct? HELP

Check that the 3E mark is at 12 o'clock mark when the crankshaft pulley is at Top Dead Center number 1 firing at the crankshaft pulley. Verify the ignition timing is correct after having bridged terminals E1 and T1 in the diagnostic connector box near the battery.
