For years, I took my BMW to a place in Fairfax, Virginia, and had a horrible experience. I walked in to these guys off the street because I saw BMWs on their lot that looked as though they were being repaired. I asked if they could repair my BMW, and they did. I take my car there now, and my husband takes his Mercedes there. Before, we only took our cars to the dealership.
I had a service one year ago, and they give me a transmission fluid. Basically they gave me new transmission fluid. At that time the mileage was 40,000. A couple months ago I took it to them again. About 1000 miles later, I took it back. Then they said they wanted to do the transmission fluid again. I told them that I had the service one year ago, and asked why they had to do it again. I was not satisfied with that, they said it depends on how you drive the car. I don't know what exactly happened. Before this, I was satisfied with their service, but now I'm not sure. If I need service, I will consider going to another garage.
Made an appt. for a Saturday morning oil change/tire rotation. Was first person there. Took 90 minutes to perform and they didn't bother to reset the "maintenance required" reminder. Once I found it in the vehicle manual, it took less than 30 seconds to do. Oh, and it was about 45 degrees in the waiting room.
