Ford has recalled certain 1995 Explorers because the brake tubes between the master cylinder and the hydraulic control unit are misrouted. Misrouting of the tubes may cause longer than appropriate stopping distances and could result in an accident. Dealers will reroute the brake tubes.
Ford has recalled certain 1995 Taurus and Mercury Sable vehicles for an issue with a missing or misplaced clip that secures the brake pedal arm to the master cylinder push rod. If this clip is missing or damaged, the push rod could separate from the pedal arm, causing a lack of braking power. Dealers will inspect and install a retainer clip if necessary.
