On certain trucks, fuel may spill in a front end impact, which could cause a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
Aftermarket body lift blocks from Truxxx may not properly secure the rear axle. This could result in damage to the drive shaft and/or rear axle.
Improper welds on the driver's seat may allow the seat back pivot to crack or break. In a crash, if the seat pivot breaks, the risk of injury to the driver is increased.
On forty-five trucks, the driver air bag module may not have been assembled properly, which means the driver air bag may not deploy in a crash. If the air bag does not deploy, the risk of injury in a crash is increased.
On trucks with the diesel engine, a software problem may cause a lack of power, rough engine operation, unusual noises, white smoke from the exhaust, and a visible flame out of the tailpipe.
The positioning of the positive battery wire may allow chafing of the wire, which could cause a short circuit and possibly a fire.
