Ford Excursion: 11V352000
RepairPal Expert Overview
Our Quick Take:
Various exterior lights may not function as expected due to a faulty multi-function turn signal switch. This should not affect head light operation. Non-functioning exterior lights could increase the risk of a crash.
What Should You Do?
This should be considered a high priority recall. Exterior lights may stop working without warning. Please contact your Ford dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
An internal fault may develop within the multi-function turn signal switch. This can affect turn signal, tail, hazard, and/or brake light operation. Non-functioning exterior lights could increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the multi-function switch to correct this concern. This recall is scheduled to begin on August 15, 2011. The Ford recall number is 11C18.
