Windshield May Not Be Properly Installed
The windshield may not be properly installed, which may cause wind noise, squeaks/rattles, and/or water leaks. If the windshield comes loose in a crash, vehicle occupants may be less protected.
We at RepairPal have designated this a high priority recall; the windshield may not be properly secured. Please contact your Ford dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
The windshield may not be properly installed, which may cause wind noise, squeaks/rattles, and/or water leaks. If the windshield comes loose in a crash, vehicle occupants may be less protected. Dealers will replace the windshield free of charge. The recall began November 22, 2006. The Ford recall number is 06C15.

CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 212, 'WINDSHIELD MOUNTING.' THE WINDSHIELD MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED TO THE VEHICLE BODY.
IF THE WINDSHIELD IS NOT PROPERLY RETAINED TO THE VEHICLE, WIND NOISE, SQUEAK/RATTLES AND/OR WATER LEAKS MAY OCCUR. ALSO, LOSS OF WINDSHIELD RETENTION MAY REDUCE OCCUPANT PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 22, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-392-3673.
