Good question! Don't know for sure, nor does ANYBODY else, unless it has been tried before! Only concern is starter and torque converter spacing! Starter sound ok? Torque converter move front to back a little bit with bolts removed from it? Obviously the CORRECT way to go is to remove the trans. and flywheel and install the spacer plate! That is a lot of work i know but may save you from having problems later. Approximately 1/8" thick, or less, just cant say for sure. Never tried it. However Ford felt it should be there.
