Depends on which shift solenoid it is and what is wrong. Could be more than just a solenoid issue in that the solenoid may be clogged with particles from worn parts. Best to have a good transmission shop look at this. How many miles on this vehicle and when was the last time you replaced the transmission fluid and filter?
