I was looking for a problem with my battery going dead after setting for a day or two. I had a volt meter between the battery and the negative battery cable and was disconnecting things hoping the voltage would drop when I found the offending circuit. I disconnected the computer and then connected it back up. After hours of searching, I found the negative battery cable was bad. Everyting seems to work fine but now when I start the car and about 20 minutes later I get three or four sets of five beeps. Any idea why I am geetting the beeps.

See if your air bag warning light proves out when starting the car. If it does not turn on, what you are hearing is the Restraint Control Module (RCM) telling you by beeping that the system is functioning and your light is burned out.

I ran into a deer about 8 months ago...The air bags didn't deploy, but when I got my CV back from the body shop, the air bag light was on all the time. I should have taken it the dealer to have it reset. It didn't bother any so I let it go. But when I was working on finding the electrical problem (stated above), this beeping problem showed up. You might be right about the air bag warning light causing the beeps. I guess I just need to take it to a Ford dealer and have the light reset.

It's really not about having the light reset, but more having the buld replaced if it doesn't come on now. Or plugging it back in if it is disconnected. The module could also cause it to not come on due to a fault, but less likelly. Good luck.
