Firestone Complete Auto Care

Firestone is a well renowned company with a long history. This perhaps led me to take their repair center seriously. I took my vehicle in for a specific problem that involved an engine light on. They had checked my vehicle out only to give me a long list of issues they believed were related to the light. This list was comprised of items that were important and that which could be put off. None the less, I paid over one thousand dollars in repairs only to have the light still on. I took the vehicle back and they wanted to charge more money to resolved this. Apparently, they misdiagonsed the issue. A very expensive misdiagnosis. Instead of displaying some ethical behavior and offering to help with at least a price deduction, they held firm and told me to go elsewhere. There were numerous repairs that had nothing at all to do with the engine light on.
Another issue arose with the vehicle overheating and spraying coolant on the engine. They apparently did a flush of the vehicle and could no understand why fluid was leaking out of the coolant system. Their solution...put a new radiator cap on. Well, I left believing this was resolved. Later, I had visited a Quick Lube establishment. They noticed that my coolant was completely empty and had deposits on the coolant stick. It appears that one of the results of the deposits was possibly related to adding a sealer. Again, the coolant was empty just after a few months after my visit with Firestone. Quick Lube believed that the deposits were causing pressure leading to a hose leaking coolant over the front half of the enginge. Well, they were right. They performed a complete coolant flush and removed all the deposits and tightened the hose. The problem has not occured since. The bottom line. Firestone does not take the time to analyze the problem correctly and do not stand by their work in any ethical manner. I feel as though they did what was best in their own interest. This only applies to the Firestone at this location.
