Question: fast idle

just recently ,like yesterday my car was idiling normal then when i came to a stop it was at fast idle ,i pulled over shut engine off then started it again and it was fine ,so today i disconnected the cruise control and the idle is normal thru all driving ranges what is causing the fast idle?

    thanx for the answer but i am not savy when it comes to using tech tools so how do i repair it or can it be repaired ? or just replaced? is it pricey?
