Question: Fan runs when car is not in use causing constantly dead battery

Rookie

fan under hood runs when car is not being used resulting in dead battery. Already put in brand new battery, new cable connection to battery. Car is in repair shop one month now (dealer) and they still cannot repair it. Pls help if you can. Thank you

There are 2 fans, an engine cooling fan and one for the a/c condenser. Both have a relay that controls the fan, and the relays are controlled by a radiator fan control module. The module receives a signal from the engine temperature sensor and the engine control module. This is not a complex system, if the fan is sticking on a competent technician should be able to diagnose this in an hour or less.
