2006 Hyundai Tiburon

 

Question: Fan control, AC & circulation lights

 Rookie

When I turn the fan on 4 the lights on the AC and no outside air flicker. I took the console apart and when the fan is set to 4 the wires get hot.

    The fan is one of the items that draws some of the most power of any component in the vehicle.

    Blower motor resistors and wiring often fail and melt due to the power provided. This could be happening in your car, or it may be just fine. I would disconnect wiring connectors on the circuit and check for melting.

    Also - check your charging system. If your alternator is weak, it will cause flickering lights due to inconsistent and weak output.
