2001 Chevrolet Blazer Q&A

2001 Chevrolet Blazer Question: failed inspection

my vehicle fail state inspection for evap and system 2 can these repair be done by me. -
Answer 1
No not really. The computer needs to see a certain amount of fuel in the tank, a certain temperature change, the system then checks the evap system by closing solenoids drawing a vacuum in the tank and sees if the vacuum decays and falls away or if everything is working correctly. A repair shop will use a machine that generates non flammable inert gas into the fuel tank system and makes it easier to find leaks. -
